本研究目的在探討護理人員接受心肺復甦術(CPR)暨自動體外心臟電擊去顫器(AED)兩種不同教學策略,護理人員在CPR+AED知識得分及技術執行能力前後測之差異情形。研究方法採類實驗不等組前後測設計。研究對象為參加CPR+AED訓練之護理人員,共130人;控制組65人接受「CPR+AED傳統教學」之教學課程;實驗組65人接受「CPR+AED錄影帶教學」之教學課程。兩組課程時數皆為2.5小時,在課程前後接受CPR+AED知識得分及技術執行能力兩項評量。以SPSS17.0電腦統計套裝軟體進行資料分析,包括描述性統計分析(次數分配、百分比、平均數與標準差)、paired t test、Pearson χ2 test、Independent t test、Fisher
[ Abstract ]
This study aimed to investigate nurses’ knowledge and competencies in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) following two different types of educational intervention. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent groups design was used. Inclusion populations were 130 nurses. 65 nurses in the control group underwent 2.5 hours of traditional class-based CPR+AED education, while 65 nurses in the experimental group received 2.5 hours of video scenario-based CPR+AED education. Both groups received a pre-test and a post-test after education. Results were analyzed with descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation), paired t test, Pearson χ2 test, independent t test, Fisher's exact test, adjusted standardized residual, and Bivariate and multivariate linear regression by SPSS17.0 software. The results revealed that (1) there were significant increases in CPR+AED knowledge in both groups, with the experimental group showing more increases than the control group, (2) there were significant increases in CPR+AED competencies in both groups, but between-group differences were not significant, (3) multivariate linear regression analysis revealed that the type of educational intervention and place of work (higher education institutions or hospitals) were two statistically significant predictors of increase in CPR+AED knowledge following educational intervention, and (4) multivariate linear regression analysis revealed that place of work and prior experience with CPR+AED training were two statistically significant predictors of increase in CPR+AED competencies. The following suggestions were made based on the results reached: (1) it is important to promote professional CPR+AED training, (2) basic emergency medicine preceptors should always work on their knowledge and competencies in CPR+AED, (3) video scenario-based CPR+AED education should be included in the training of other medical care providers, (4) the general public should be encouraged to undertake CPR+AED training, and (5) similar studies may be undertaken to evaluate the effect of video scenario-based CPR+AED education on different population groups in different settings.
