| Background: The Ministry of Health and Welfare provide an interprofessional practice training program as the one of the teaching hospital accreditation programs in 2011. This helps healthcare professionals to have interprofessional practice ability. However, the experimental results associated with this program are few in Taiwan. Objective: This study evaluates the implementation of the "interprofessional practice training program," in order to enhance the effectiveness of medical personnel for new interdisciplinary team care of readiness. Methods: This study employed the measure of the quasi-experimental design of a pretest-posttest equivalent-group by the purposive sampling, selecting northern Taiwan, a medical center 45 new healthcare professionals within 12 months of (including eight categories) for the study. The experimental time of this study is six hours. This study applied the "Experiential learning theory" as the education and training of instructional design, education and training. This study needs to write, respectively, the interprofessional practice behavior inventory at the pretest, the posttest, and the posttest after six months. The above-mentioned values were obtained using the data analysis of the GEE to measure the differences among participants’ interprofessional practice behavior before and after the "Interprofessional practice training programs" . Results: The new healthcare professionals accepted "Interprofessional practice training programs" which indicates significant improvements from pre-test to post-test and the posttest after six months in terms of the interprofessional practice behavior. Conclusion: This results could provide the medical institutions as the reference of the interdisciplinary team care planning education and training courses. |
